This month we visited a record 11 national parks! Not hard to do in this part of the world but that’s averaging a new park every 2.8 days! Here are the parks we visited in October... Francois Peron, Monkey Mia (nature sanctuary, Kalbarri, Nambung (Pinnacles), Leeuwin-Naturaliste, Beedelup, Gloucester, William Bay, Torndirrup, Cape Le Grand, Nullarbor NP.

Favourite spots/things we've done: (selecting just one each month is getting harder!!)
Adam - 4WDing through Francois Peron National Park, Fremantle Prison tour
Sharon - Cape Le Grand was up there but 4WDing through Francois Peron National Park still took the cake! (as you can see we think this place is an absolute must-see... but so is Cape Le Grand!! Don’t miss these two!)
Ella - The beaches of Cape Le Grand
Ava - Perth Mint
Noah - Perth... when we went into the city

Most exciting wildlife spotted:
Mother and baby manta ray - Cape Peron
Large turtle and dolphins - Monkey Mia
Large pod of dolphins (30+) - Blue Haven, Esperance
Whales- Kalbarri
Not spotted but heard... some amazing sounding birds including one that sounded like it tweeted the tune of ‘Hey Big Spender’ 🤣🤣

BIG things:
Big bells (Bell Tower, Perth), world’s largest coin - 1tonne! (Perth Mint), Big kangaroo with vegemite jar (WA/SA border), Big whale (Nullarbor Road House), Big Windmill (Penong SA)

🙂Meeting others is definitely one of the biggest highlights of our trip! Sharing stories, travel plans & knowledge and keeping in touch after we've crossed paths to continue to share the travelling love! 🙂

Regrets: This month for the first time we have felt the sacrificial side of our choices by missing a couple of major events that we would have really liked to have attended including the wedding of our lifelong friends and a charity event close to our heart. The wonders of social media meant that we didn’t miss out altogether, we watched some of the wedding live on Facebook and saw many lovely photos of both events. There’s no denying that it made us all a little homesick but we are grateful for social media and Telstra coverage!
